6th August - Heart

I had such a nice weekend its such a shame for it to be over, on Saturday 2 of my friends got married and I was the best man, it was such a nice occasion and it was amazing to see 2 people so happy together, after that I was inspired to make this heart for them, This is a design I saw Graham make on his balloon forum and this is the first time I have made it, I am very pleased with how it came out.

The heart is made from 5 x 260 balloons, it looks really complicated, in actual fact once you get started and see the individual components that make it up its not too bad. If you would like instructions on how to make this then ask me and I will send you a link.  You can keep up to date with all the latest news and sculptures by heading over to Facebook -www.facebook.com/mydailyballoon and hitting the 'like' button, then feel free to share it with your friends.

9th July - Telephone Box

Its Sharon and Sean's 25th Anniversary today and to help them celebrate I have made them a telephone box (they have their reasons), This phone box is made from about 29 balloons, mostly 260s but with 2 x 160s at the very top, I started making it last night and finished it this morning, the last thing I put on was the little heart at the top. Happy Anniversary Sharon and Sean.

1st July - Heart

This may look like a simple sculpture, you can buy heart shaped balloons, they measure about 6 inches across or 15 inches across and come in a range of colours, this little heart was NOT made from a heart shaped balloon, it is made from a standard 260 balloon, they can also be made from a 160 and a 350. I must thank Antonio Becarus for sharing this technique with me at a recent balloon event, thanks Antonio.

This little heart measures around 2" across, I used 1 balloon for the heart and 1 x 160 for the white base. You can keep up to date with all the latest news and sculptures by heading over to Facebook -www.facebook.com/mydailyballoon and hitting the 'like' button.

4th June - Parrot

I have made this Parrot a few times recently due to me having a few pirate shows to do, he always gets people talking. He is made from 7 balloons, 2 red x 260s, a black heart shaped balloon, a white 160 for the eyes, a yellow 260, a grey 160 and a brown 160. Having made him a few times now I can now make him pretty fast.

1st May - Snoopy

The other day Stu posted a comment on Facebook asking to see a Snoopy balloon, I have had a design in my mind for a while so was happy to have a go. Snoopy is one of Stu's favourites and he told me that if he could go back in time and meet any historical person it would be Snoopy, Well I can tell you Stu, Snoopy is alive and well, he resides in California in Knotts Berry Farm with all his friends.

In total the whole sculpture is made from 15 balloons, I started by making the Kennel, it is made from 9 x 260 balloons, Snoopy is made from 6 balloons, his face and bode are both white heart balloons, there are 3 raisin twists involved in holding them together, his nose is a bit of 260 and his ears and collar are 160s, finally his legs and arms are a 260.

28th April - Heart Wand

Yesterday I made a shark for the boys, today its something for the girls, yes its a heart on a stick, made from 3 balloons, 2 pink 260s and a heart balloon (no surprise there then). Its the perfect thing to make for any little princess, she will be delighted with it and lovingly accept it to then batter her brother over the head with it.

11th April - Dalmatian

Today is day number 101 and what better animal to make today than 101 dalmatians (the other 100 are hiding off camera).

This dalmatian is made from 7 balloons and is a Dylan Gelinas design, Dylan uses brown balloons to make his into a normal dog so I switched the brown balloons for the white to make it a dalmatian.

10th March - A Bear Holding a Heart

This cute bear was taught to me by Balloonatic Kevin from Weymouth, he kindly shared his balloon wisdom at a recent balloon modelling event so thank you Kevin.

Bear is made from 7 balloons, I started with a 350 for his ears, part of his face and his torso, then I added a small piece of a 260 and a round balloon, next I added the eyes, His legs are made from another 350 and his arms another 260, finally I added in a heart balloon.

Both my own Mum and Nats Mum (Annie) got one of these each for Mothers day today.

9th March - Ladybird

Its a fairly easy one today as I have just run in an off road race through forests, fields, mud, rivers, ponds, smoke and obstacles galore, its a ladybird (ahhh sweet) made of 3 balloons,

The red balloon is a heart, the eyes are a 260 and the feet (which you cant see) are a black 260 (which gets wrapped around the balloon making the black line.

8th February - Chameleon

This chameleon is made from 8 balloons, firstly I made the face from a green 260 and the body from a green 160, then I added in the eyes which was made from a yellow heart shaped balloon.
Now I added a red 160 for the tongue and 3 green 160s for the legs and tail, I used a scrap of dead balloon to fix his curly tail in place and finally I added a brown 260 branch for him to sit on.
He is pretty big but didn't take too long to make, probably less than 10 mins
