2nd Aug - Mouse

This has to be the easiest balloon sculpture I make, it takes seconds and its handy if you have a 4000 children with just 5 mins left to make everyone a balloon (OK I exaggerate), Its just made from the 1 x 260 balloon and starting with an un-inflated balloon I can make them in about 9 seconds with a further 7 seconds to draw the eyes on, so that's a total of 16 seconds. OK so I don't actually like speed ballooning but it does get me out of some sticky situations.

22nd July - Tulip Twist on a Straw

I saw someone do this the other day and I just had to have a go, it is a tulip (or apple) twist with a straw going right through the middle, I had no idea how this was done when I first saw it but I kind of figured it out and I am pleased with the result. No prizes for guessing how many balloons I used here.

15th July - Simple Tiger

This Tiger is very similar to my simple lion, this one has stripes though, its very easy to make, a few pinch twists and normal twists and you have a tiger, it takes longer to draw the stripes on than it does to make the balloon.

17th June - Simple Lion

Here is another simple 1 balloon sculpture, its very similar to the cat balloon I did on day one but it has an extra twist on the face. Its made from just 1 x 260 balloon.

14th June - Ram

This design goes back many many years, its one of the first I learnt (after a dog and giraffe), it is much the same as a basic dog however the ears have been made bigger to become horns. Its made from 1 x 260 balloon, baaaaaaaaaaaaa.

11th June - Simple Bunny

This little bunny is made from just 1 balloon, I can make it in less than a minute and is useful when you have a big queue of children wanting balloons.

29th May - Swan

I have had a really busy day today making balloons at a local tourist attraction so tonight I have made a really simple balloon, it is a swan, made from just the 1 yellow 260 balloon, this is one of the first models I learnt many years ago.

11th May - Simple Dolphin

Its just a quick and simple balloon today as I have such a busy day ahead, This dolphin is made from just 1 x 260 balloon and is really quick to make, it is similar to the shark design I featured a short while ago.

27th April - Simple Shark

Alysia recently asked me if I do a simple shark, Here is my one balloon shark and this is what I make when I get asked to make a shark.

He is made from just 1 balloon and has about 11 twists, I always draw the teeth on as its the teeth that really make it look the part and kids love sharp teeth.

23rd April - Rhino

I love this little Rhino, Graham showed me how to make it back in March and I just love how he looks, he is made from just 2 balloons, although the white balloon is just an old scrap I found so I guess its only 1 and a bit balloons.

17th April - Hippos

Here is a hippo and her baby, I made this after Nat showed me a photo of a couple of hippos.

Each hippo is made from just the 1 balloon, mummy hippo is a 260 and baby hippo is a 160.

25th March - Little Elephant

Time for another model made out of a single 260 balloon, this elephant starts with an elongated tulip/apple twist for the trunk, and then you twist a further 8 bubbles and you have your elephant.

22nd March - T-Rex

Its time for another model made from just the 1 x 260 sized balloon, Its a T-Rex and he takes just a minute or so to make with just 11 twists.

20th March - Thomas the Tank Engine

Here is another model made from just the 1 balloon, its not a perfect representation of Thomas the Tank engine but I kids seem to know instantly what it is when I make it so that is what matters.

I start this model with an apple twist then add in 13 more normal twists, I then do the artwork at the end which really helps it look the part.

19th March - Mini Motorbike

I have had a few people say that I have not made many models out of just 1 balloon so this week I plan to do a few, this motorbike was shown to me by Roy last week and it was his birthday yesterday so I thought it was a good idea to show it off, Thanks for showing it to me Roy

The motorbike is made from just 1 x 260 sized balloon, it takes about a minute to make, you have to twist 14 bubbles into the balloon and then the last thing you do it to pop one of the bubbles to create the separate handle bars. I did it in pink because girls can like motorbikes too.

28th January - Apple

I have mentioned the Apple twist in a few of my posts so far and I can hear the cry of a thousand viewers saying "Hey Rob, Why is it called an apple twist?" . . . . . . . . . .  oh, I didn't hear anything, never mind, I will show you anyway, this photo is why its called an apple twist, cute huh.

25th January - Tortoise

This Tortoise is made of 1 balloon, with the addition of an apple twist for his face you can get a nice mouth.

23rd January - Tulips

You can make these simple tulips from any sized modelling balloons, these ones are 160s, its a simple apple twist (or is it a tulip twist?, I never know)

22nd January - Koala

Koalas are cute, that is all I need to say about koalas, this one is made of just one 260 balloon.

3rd January - Butterfly

This one was requested by Lindsey, it is made of 2 balloons, one balloon for the wings and first antenna, the second balloon for the body and other antenna.
