21st May - Scooby-Doo

This Scooby-Doo is made from 12 balloons, it is totally my own design and I have spent the last day or 2 thinking about it and working it out and this is the result. The shopping list for this sculpture is
2 x Mocha 160, 1 x Blush 160, 1 x Pale blue 160, 1 x yellow 160, 1 x white 260, 1 x black 260, 4 x mocha 260s, 1 x mocha 350.

On a totally unrelated subject, it was old Mrs Jenkins who was dressed up as the Calamity school ghost and scaring all those pesky kids in order to steal the St Claremont diamond, Scoobydoobydoooooooooooo!!!

20th May - Raccoon

I have been wanting to make a raccoon for some time and today I finally got my head around how I would do the tail and face. I think he is made from 14 balloons however I did lose count half way through, I am sure it is 14 though, this does include the 11 round balloon for the base and the 2 balloon that make the flower.

19th May - Fish Bones

I first made these Fish Bones the other evening while playing around at a balloon jam so I thought I would make another one today, its just made from 2 x 160s, you could probably make it from just 1 x 160 if you made it smaller.

17th May - Gizmo

Its Film Friday here in balloon land and here is Gizmo, the little Mogwai from the film Gremlins.

He is made from 8 balloons, first I used half a Mocha brown 260 and a whole white 260 for the head with a blush 260 for the nose and mouth. Then I added in the arms with the other half of the brown 260, the body and legs are another white 260 with the feet and hands from a blush 260, I used a 160 for the little wristlets and then another 160 for the ears, Next I used another blush 260 and a black 160 for the eyes. Finally I sat him on an 11" red round balloon.

16th May - Turtle

I have been wanting to make a turtle for a while, I have had a play around with a few designs and came up with this, its made from 7 balloons but might be able to get away with only using 5 next time.

This one has 2 blush 260s and 2 mocha 260s in the shell, then I added the head and back flippers with a green 260 and the eyes are a white 260, finally the front flippers are another green 260.

15th May - Fantasia Mickey

Here is another one designed by Dylan Gelinas, its Mickey mouse from Disney's Fantasia, I purchased the plans to make this not too long ago and yesterday I finally got around to having a go, this was my first attempt at making him and I if I made him again I know I would get him looking even better.

I am not going to tell you too much about how to make this one as you can purchase the plans from Dylan Gelinas by visiting his website at http://www.slightlytwistedballoons.com/

Thanks Dylan for creating this amazing balloon sculpture. You can follow My Daily Balloon several other ways Facebook -www.facebook.com/mydailyballoon and hit the 'like' button
